Admiral Barthold "Angus" Ablemeyer is an excellent specimen of LWA's Aerial Brigade, a branch of militarily-trained pigeons. Once used extensively for the sending of messages and intelligence gathering across enemy lines, the proud Admiral's family is now mainly regulated to flight show propaganda duty. They perform their with their famous squadron flying maneuvers like formation loops, barrel rolls high-speed passes, slow passes, fast rolls, slow rolls, and mirror formations. Admiral Angus' great-great-grandmother was Mary of Exeter, who served with the National Pigeon Service from 1940-1945. She was a recipient of the Dickin Medal, the highest award granted to an animal for military service.

Descended from the first white doves domesticated from the wild pigeons of ancient Sumeria, Lady Angelica Humerdines Fantastico, is one of the legion of Miracle Pigeons. Who brought the branch to Noah? Who ate from the hand of St. Francis? Who is there to herald the prophets and signal the fates? There is always a white dove around when you need it. Lady Angelica herself has been present at no less than three sightings of the Virgin Mary and one documented case of spontaneous combustion due to religious fervor.

Mrs. Merryweather Morrigan is one of LWA's famous fortune-telling pigeons. She was once held captive by a charlatan who claimed to read the future in the dilation of her eyes which we all know is completely false. Real fortune-telling pigeons tell the future with their feet. Released from her bondage by an animal-lover, Mrs. Morrigan {no maiden name given} sought refuge at Pigeon Post in the company of others of her kind. They can be found at any crossroads on the first Monday following a New Moon and are traditionally paid in pumpernickel bread crumbs.

In retirement from the India Post service, Guru Govind Singh the 118th is one of the best service pigeons, being clocked at a top speed of 125km per hour. Guru is currently serving as a mentor to the drove of pigeons serving the LWA in its regular delivery service. He brings an air of respectability to the somewhat rapscabble flock indulging in the derring-do of the Pigeon Post, and we hope that many of the younger squabs will follow in his flight path.

Of all the exceptional racing pigeons, Clytemnestra Xerxes is a prime example of an LWA Racer. LWA Racers are a different breed from the more commonplace Homing pigeons. In addition to using the electromagnetic field of the Earth to guide their way, they are also accustomed to utilizing the established Warp Zones of Pigeon Post. This makes the LWA Racer capable of traveling through space as well as time. Sometimes they arrive before they left, but they are always in time for dinner.
